The Curriculum
Gelato University's curriculum consists of six courses, each lasting an average of about three days. You can decide whether to participate for only three days (Beginner Course) or complete all classes in a total of three weeks. Introduction to Gelato: A First Look at the Gelato Business »No experience and curious to know if the gelato business is for you? The Introduction to Gelato is for those who want to get a quick, complete overview of the gelato business. Available for download online, it contains useful information for people thinking about entering the world of gelato.
Beginner Course: My Gelato »Convinced and decided to learn how to make gelato? The Beginner Course is for aspiring gelato entrepreneurs who want to learn the basics of gelato production. Three days in class to learn and put into practice fundamental concepts.
Intermediate Course: Beyond the Bases »Interested and enthusiastic about getting more gelato knowledge? The Intermediate Course is designed for people who have completed the Beginner Course and who want to increase their range and level of competence.
Gelato Internship »Ready and excited to try what you've learned? The Gelato Internship gives gelato students the chance to work in a real gelateria - Carpigiani Lab - for a week. Under the guidance of an experienced tutor, the interns will manage supplies, production of gelato and semifreddi, and sales to customers.
Master Course: New Gelato Week Professional »Experienced and eager to succeed? The New Gelato Week Professional is aimed at gelato chefs who want the opportunity to further understands the many aspects required to master in order to run a successfull business.
A la carte Courses »Hungry for knowledge and interested in better understanding the latest trends? The a la carte courses are intensive seminars (1 or 2 days) that focus on teaching specific topics in a 1to1 environment.
