Excellence in gelato instruction

Carpigiani Gelato University has the objective of sustaining the development of gelato shops everywhere and educating the public regarding the pleasure and flavor of genuine Italian gelato.

We aim to assist all those entrepreneurs throughout the world who want to open gelato shops, as well as those who are already working in the sector but seek to strive towards gelato excellence.

Indeed, our main goals are developing the art and science of gelato production, the comprehensive training of gelato entrepreneurs, and the promotion of Italian gelato as a natural and flavorful food suitable for all cultures.

Carpigiani Gelato University desires as many people as possible to participate in its program. Consequently the school uses a number of different channels to expand its reach. CGU offers courses on its campus, online through this website, On the road utilizing traveling faculty, and custom courses on campus or on the entrepreneur's premises.

Seminars are taught in Italian, English, French, and German. The central campus is located in Anzola Emilia, Bologna, Italy, but there are many other branches located throughout the world. The school also takes advantages of locales provided by Carpigiani distributors for its On the Road program.

The training courses are supervised by a renowned faculty of experts in the field.

Carpigiani Gelato University has forged important relationships with universities in an effort to maintain a high level of competence, to promote gelato research and development, and to organize development of the gelato market on every continent.

Gelato University in the UK
The international success of the Carpigiani Gelato University has been demonstrated nowhere more so than in the UK. Following the first session held in 2003, its popularity has grown enormously, with Carpigiani UK planning 24 half day introductory courses throughout 2008-2009.
