Carpigiani Gelato University is constantly seeking to establish important partnerships to maintain a high level of competency, development, and research in the field of Italian gelato and pastry and their use around the globe.
In May 2007 CGU signed an agreement with the
University of Gastronomic Sciences in Colorno
(Parma). The agreement stipulates that courses of the school in Parma regarding gelato will be taught on the Carpigiani Gelato University campus in Bologna.
The University of Gastronomic Sciences, a truly unique academic institution, was founded by Slow Food in conjunction with the regional authorities of Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont. The objective is to create an international research and training center, working to renew farming methods, protect biodiversity and maintain an organic relationship between gastronomy and agricultural science.
