Carpigiani Gelato University is a “concept” that has been designed and developed to promote and communicate the culture of artisan ice cream to a worldwide audience.

The main priorities at Carpigiani Gelato University are the safeguarding and development of traditional Italian ice cream making techniques.

Carpigiani Gelato University also aims to establish partnerships, both in Italy and worldwide, with other Universities, associations and institutions in order to promote the Italian lifestyle and the importance of “made in Italy” ice cream

The training sessions at the University are supported by conferences, seminars and internships, often in collaboration with other Italian and international Universities.

Carpigiani Gelato University is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence and welcomes ice cream makers, confectioners and artisans from all over the world.

The courses are structured at four levels ie introductory, basic, thematic and master.

The introductory course is targeted at everyone who is interested in understanding the world of artisan ice cream or would like to start a business.

This course is also available online in Italian and English.

The basic course is targeted at everyone who intends to open an ice cream parlour or would like to know more about this subject

The thematic courses are designed for ice cream makers and confectioners who wish to study specific themes in depth

The master courses are specially constructed to meet the specific requirements of “Gelato” professionals.

All the courses are taught in English, French, German and Spanish and are held in either the main headquarters centre (Carpigiani, Anzola Emilia, Bologna), in Carpigiani locations in other parts of the world or at the premises of Carpigiani representatives.

Besides the prestigious practical and theory courses, taught by a distinguished team of qualified teachers, Carpigiani Gelato University offers the opportunity to study single themes or multi-faceted programmes.

HISTORY
CARPIGIANI was established in 1946 by Bruto and Poerio Carpigiani just two years after Bruto had come up with the idea of the “autogelatiera”, a new concept machine.
Since then Carpigiani has become the market leader in the manufacture of machinery in the “ice cream” sector.
In 1989 Carpigiani merged with Comenda of Milan, creating the Ali Goup: thanks to the wisdom and organisation of the new management and to the cutting-edge technology Carpigiani has now become Carpigiani Group
Carpigiani is present all over the world, even in the most remote countries, as the Made in Italy leader of homemade ice cream, soft ice cream, frozen yoghurt, shake, slush, confectionery and whipped cream equipment.
