San Paolo, 20th of May 2017 - Gelato World Tour's trip around the world saw 51 gelato chefs compete on the 18th and 19th of May at Carpigiani Gelato University Brasil in San Paolo.
• "Salted Caramel Peanuts" of Dimitris Charalampous from the Palladion (Rhodes) and "Pastolato" of Vangelis Iliopoulos from the Gelato Punto (Rhodes) have been selected to represent GREECE in the European Finals of Gelato World Tour, being held in Bologna, Italy this upcoming July 24-25, 2017.
The Gelato World Tour made its way to the West Coast, Tuesday for the Los Angeles Challenge. Nine gelato artisans from all around the West Coast gathered at Rosito Bisani to compete for the chance to move on to the finals. The winner, Ron Mendoza from Monterey, CA with the flavor Bee's Knees will be moving on to the finale in Rimini, Italy this September to compete alongside 36 artisans from around the world for World's Best Gelato Flavor.
Fourteen gelato artisans from across the US and Canada gathered Thursday at New York's prestigious James Beard House to compete in the Gelato World Tour - New York Challenge. The winner, Coconut Pineapple by Kelly Chu, owner of Cirsea from Charleston, South Carolina, earned a spot in the Grand Finale in Rimini, Italy this September.
