It is official: Carpigiani Gelato University will organize special classes for free of charge at Firenze Gelato Festival, covering the basics of artisanal gelato-making and supporting people in the preparation of frozen desserts.

The reason for this decision? In this period of crisis and rising unemployment, the profession of gelato maker is increasingly an alternative business opportunity for success. Italian gelato makers are also getting great results opening gelato boutiques abroad and they are spreading the culture of artisanal gelato worldwide.

All the visitors can wear an apron and try this job for one day, mixing ingredients and interacting with top quality machineries.  The task of the day is to make an original fruit-flavored gelato.
