Carpigiani and Carpigiani Gelato University are working on the next edition of the world’s most important fair in the artisan gelato, bakery and Italian confectionary sector, to be held January 23–27, 2016, at Rimini Fiera. There will be a renewed stand full of surprises, with the opportunity to interact with instructors and technicians to clear up any doubts about gelato and find new business ideas. Moreover, this year, the awaited Gelato World Cup is back, with 14 participants (11 in 2015) that will compete in the south hall’s prestigious setting; for pastry, meeting with The Pastry Queen, the competition dedicated to the most talented women from the five continents; the world challenge “Star of Chocolate” is just one of the unmissable events, while Bread in the City will draw attention on artisan bakery schools. Dozens of other events complete the fair’s program: for example, the Italian winners of last year’s Pastry world championship (Lion, France) will be surely celebrated.

Sigep is the landmark fair of a world market – that of artisan gelato, pastry and bakery – which keeps growing, with over 187 thousand professional visitors (38 thousand of which were foreigners) in the last edition, a number almost doubled in five years. Record numbers that communicate the excellent level of innovation and quality distinguishing the industry (Data Sigep – Rimini Fiera).
