Carpigiani Gelato Museum is organizing a ?gelato pit stop? for the drivers of the world?s most famous race. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, 18 May 2013, from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Carpigiani Gelato Museum (via Emilia 45, Anzola dell?Emilia, Bologna)

For the third consecutive year the stars of the Mille Miglia race – 400 splendid classic cars escorted by 130 Ferraris – will stop in the Carpigiani parking lot, representing another great chance to highlight Italian excellence during an event that involves drivers from more than 30 different countries!

“Carpigiani is proud to provide the Mille Miglia with space for one of the final time checks before moving on to the finish line in Brescia,” says Carpigiani’s General Manager Andrea Cocchi. “We can relate to the history, popularity, and itinerant nature of the Mille Miglia. The automotive world and gelato machine technology have many points in common.”

During the day, the Gelato Museum – recently recognized by Zagat as one of the seven coolest museums in the world – will be open to the public from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with guided visits scheduled every half hour. The Gelato Museum Bookshop will also be inaugurated, offering amusements for all gelato lovers.

To celebrate the pit stop of the world’s most famous car race at the world’s most famous gelato company, the instructors of Carpigiani Gelato University have created the flavor Mille Miglia Red: raspberry variegated with meringue. It will be exclusively available throughout the day at the Carpigiani Gelato Lab, where from 4:30 pm it will also be possible to enjoy the famous Gelato Cocktail!

Visitor parking will be available on the grass in front of Carpigiani headquarters.
